Hearing Loss and Depression

Depression is associated with elderly patients who suffer from acquired hearing loss.  A study examining the relationship between hearing loss and mental health, concluded that individuals with hearing loss were more vulnerable to depression than people from the general population.  Hearing loss seems to add to the complexity individuals feel with depression and anxiety.
